# MoodTicker (Stock Sentiment Today)
> MoodTicker publishes a transparent 0–100 sentiment score (50 = neutral) for 100 popular US stocks/ETFs and 30 cryptocurrencies, refreshed every 10–30 minutes. Not financial advice.

## How the score works
- Each signal is normalized to −1 (bearish) … +1 (bullish); the score is the weighted mean of available signals mapped to 0–100. "coverage" = share of signal weight that had data.
- Stocks: Options flow 35% ((call premium − put premium) / total premium, premium = volume × price × 100), Social sentiment 30% ((bullish − bearish tags) / (tagged + 5)), Mentions momentum 15% (log ratio of mentions vs 24h ago, 3× = ±1), Forum tone 20%.
- Crypto: Price momentum 40% (½·tanh(24h%/5) + ½·tanh(7d%/15)), Social sentiment 35%, Mentions momentum 25%.
- Unusual options activity: contracts with volume > 3× open interest, ≥100 contracts and ≥$25K premium, from delayed data for the latest session.
- Labels: ≥65 Bullish, 55–64 Leaning bullish, 46–54 Neutral, 36–45 Leaning bearish, ≤35 Bearish.
