Methodology
Every signal is normalized to a value between −1 (bearish) and +1 (bullish). The composite score is the weighted average of the signals that are available, mapped to 0–100 (50 = neutral). If a signal is unavailable, its weight is redistributed and the "coverage" figure drops.
Stocks
- Options flow (35%): (call premium − put premium) / total premium, where premium = volume × last price × 100 across the delayed option chain. Contracts with volume/open interest > 3 (and ≥100 contracts, ≥$25K premium) are flagged as unusual.
- Social sentiment (30%): (bullish − bearish) / (tagged posts + 5) over the most recent public posts. The +5 shrinks thin samples toward neutral.
- Mentions momentum (15%): log(mentions now / mentions 24h ago), scaled so a 3× change = ±1.
- Forum tone (20%): daily discussion-tone score from online investing forums, ×2, capped at ±1.
Crypto
- Price momentum (40%): ½·tanh(24h % / 5) + ½·tanh(7d % / 15).
- Social sentiment (35%) and Mentions momentum (25%): as above.
