Hype is not a signal of value. Small-cap and penny stocks are volatile, thinly traded and prone to pump-and-dump schemes. This list ranks online chatter; it is not a recommendation to buy or sell, and prices are delayed.

Frequently asked questions

How is a stock selected?+

We look at tickers discussed on popular online investing forums, keep those with at least 8 mentions in the last 24 hours and at least 50% more mentions than the prior 24 hours, then keep small caps whose latest reported public float is under $2 billion. The list is ranked by mention growth.

What is public float and why use it?+

Public float is the market value of shares held by non-insiders, reported in a company's annual filing. We use it as a free, official small-cap filter. It can be months old, so a stock's current size may differ; companies that do not report it (many ETFs and foreign issuers) are excluded.

Is a spike in mentions bullish?+

Not necessarily. Mention spikes often come with sharp moves in both directions and with promotional activity. That is why we show the sentiment score and technical bias separately and track what happened afterwards.

Is this investment advice?+

No. It is an automated ranking of online chatter for information only. It is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
