Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MoodTicker (New York, USA), operator of stocksentimenttoday.com, collects, uses and shares personal information. We collect as little as we can.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your email address and optional tickers when you join the waitlist or alerts list, and your email when you subscribe or restore Pro.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe, Inc., our payment processor. We receive your email, a Stripe customer ID, subscription status and limited card details (brand, last 4 digits, expiry). We never receive or store full card numbers.
- Technical data: standard server logs collected by our hosting provider (Vercel), such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, used for security and reliability.
- Cookies: one strictly necessary, first-party cookie (
mt_pro) that remembers Pro access on your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on Stripe-hosted checkout and billing pages for fraud prevention.
How we use it
We use this information to provide and secure the Service, process subscriptions, restore access, send the alerts or updates you asked for, respond to requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law.
How we share it
We share personal information only with service providers that process it for us under contract: Stripe (payments and billing portal), Vercel (hosting), and a database provider (storage). When an email provider is added, it will be used only to send emails you requested. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights. We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Retention and security
We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and subscription records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We use reasonable safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls), but no system is completely secure.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- know and access the personal information we hold about you, and get a portable copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling (we do none of these);
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any);
- appeal our decision about your request; and
- exercise these rights without discrimination.
To make a request, email support@stocksentimenttoday.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will verify your request by confirming control of the email address involved, and we will respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent. To appeal a decision, reply with the subject "Privacy appeal". If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing (although we do neither).
